Dr. Jared Barrieau

Dr. Barrieau graduated from the University of Waterloo with an honours bachelor science degree in kinesiology. He later graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto while earning additional accreditations in Functional Integrated Acupuncture.


Dr. Barrieau has furthered his learning through several courses such as, Spinemobility’s Boot Camp Program for Lumbar Spinal Stenosis, The Nature of Pain- University of Alberta’s Faculty of Graduate Studies, Concussion: prevention, detection and management – Laval University, Athletic Movement Assessment- Upper Extremity, Dermal Traction Method and Mental Health First Aid. Dr. Barrieau enjoys working with people with a variety of conditions, he has a special interest in concussion management, jaw pain and lumbar spinal stenosis. As a firm believer in providing evidence based, patient centred care, Dr. Barrieau provides a number of services that are carefully tailored towards each individual’s needs. A treatment with Dr. Barrieau may include soft tissue therapy, adjustments/mobilizations, acupuncture, therapeutic exercises, lifestyle advice and education geared towards improving health, fitness and well-being.


Having worked with high level youth athletes, refugees, people living with HIV/AIDS, adults and teens living with developmental disabilities, as well as having served the First Nations community at Anishnawbe Health Toronto, Dr. Barrieau brings a wide breadth of clinical experience to the Trent Health in Motion Team.


When Dr. Barrieau isn’t in the clinic he can be found on the water helping coach the Peterborough Junior Rowing team. He also enjoys staying active with yoga, cycling and weight training at the gym.
