Kaitlyn recently moved to the Peterborough area and is excited to join the team of healthcare professionals at Trent Health in Motion! She completed her Clinical Masters of Science degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University after earning her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. Following graduation, she worked in a large hospital gaining experience in general medicine, geriatric, kidney, inpatient rehabilitation and post-operative units. She transitioned to working in a physiotherapy clinic in order to pursue her interest in pelvic health physiotherapy. She has taken postgraduate courses specializing in internal and external techniques for the assessment and treatment of pelvic health concerns and continuously strives to advance her education and experience in this area.

Kaitlyn believes in using a holistic, evidence based approach to assessment and treatment and strives to understand each client’s personal experience. She is passionate about creating a positive and safe environment for clients to express their concerns, work towards their goals, and improve their quality of life. She strives to empower clients through education inclusive of pain science, individualized exercise programs, manual therapy, techniques to target a sensitive nervous system as well as strategies to promote long-term self-management. She is excited about the opportunity to help clients in the Peterborough area increase their confidence and daily comfort by restoring basic human necessities related to pelvic health.

Outside of physiotherapy, Kaitlyn is passionate about an active, healthy lifestyle. Whether its time on the water, an outdoor yoga class, or skating on a backyard rink, she feels most relaxed when she is spending time outdoors and reconnecting with friends and family. She is excited to explore the hiking trails and local community events that the Peterborough area has to offer!
